Vision and goals

1. Vision

"The Faculty of Natural Sciences will be a leading national institute for education and research in science, technology, and innovation, meeting with regional and international quality standards."

2. Slogan

"Striving for academic excellence, conducting scientific and technological research, driving modern innovation, and providing services to society."

3. Roles and Duties:

  1. Build and develop human resources to become scholars, scientific researchers, managers and administrators who possess quality in knowledge, capability, morality, discipline, creativity, and mental civility, ensuring the Faculty of Natural Sciences is recognized by Lao society and internationally.
  2. Conduct and promote scientific research of a quality and standard comparable to regional and international levels in order to support national socio-economic development, and to disseminate the achievements of such scientific research.
  3. Provide efficient and effective academic services to meet the needs of society.
  4. Protect and enhance the fine cultural traditions and customs of the nation, while selectively adopting advanced and excellent international cultures for development.

4. General Goals:

  1. Elevate the knowledge and capability of teachers and staff to become competent individuals and specialists in their respective fields and areas of responsibility.

  2. Develop students into scholars who possess morality, mental civility, and a quality of knowledge and capability that ranks at the nation's leading level and advances toward regional and international standards.

  3. Raise the academic and scientific research, technology, and innovation standards of the faculty to be on par with regional and international levels.

  4. Develop the administrative and management system of the Faculty of Natural Sciences to be efficient, effective, streamlined, agile, and modern.

  5. Develop the Faculty of Natural Sciences into a clean, green space with infrastructure, tools, equipment, and advanced, modern technology to serve education and scientific research.
