Biology
The Department of Biology was established in 1996 with the founding of the National University of Laos, separating from the Biochemistry major of the former Vientiane Teacher Training College. Since then, the Department of Biology has carried out its technical duties in teaching, research, and academic services in accordance with the educational and strategic development plans of the Ministry of Education and Sports regarding the development of human resources to possess rigorous academic knowledge to meet needs and contribute to the development of local communities. The department has proceeded to produce scholars/professionals with quality, leadership, correct ethics, and creativity, who have acquired actual knowledge and capability for research and educational institutions, as well as various international organizations, to support national socio-economic development and preserve natural abundance and the environment.
